The MOBO Awards Style Review

Last night the MOBO Awards finally arrived!!

There were some fantastic performances; some well deserved awards and some fabulous outfits. Check out my style highlights (and lowlights lol):

Alesha Dixon
Reggie Yates said he wanted to present with a 'Queen' and that's what he got!!

Alesha turned up in style with a pink and black satin shift dress with oversize detailed shoulder pads and a long train. She finished the look with beautiful slicked back hair and sparkles on her peep toe platforms and earrings.

For her performance, Alesha looked fully armoured with a white studded number; massive shoulder pads with spikes protruding from them. To finish the look she wore black hot pants and a white studded glove on one hand. She almost looked as if she should be in a very glam American Football game, but she looked fab all the same.

Mingling with stars: X Factor reject Gamu Nhengu took her mind off her visa woes by mixing with celebrities including Alesha Dixon at the MOBO Awards in LiverpoolGirl power: Alesha performed in a spiky basque and hotpants (left) while N-Dubz singer Tulisa slipped into a pink dress

Tulisa Contostavlos
Wow this young lady has made a big style transformation over the past few years! Last night Tulisa wore a metallic gold babydoll dress and finished the look with black shoes with gold toe caps and a matching gold bag. I wasn't too sure with this outfit choice but what do you think?

For her performance, Tulisa wore a beautiful pink tunic tapered in by a glitzy gold belt; she looked the business, so elegant!!

Leggy: WAG Alex Gerrard wore a leopard-print jersey dress and platform heels (left), while N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos wore a gold babydoll dressGirl power: Alesha performed in a spiky basque and hotpants (left) while N-Dubz singer Tulisa slipped into a pink dress

JLS

I had to get these guys in somewhere; their style was simply on point. I saw velvet, tuxedo jackets, Gothic boots and even a bit of bling on the trousers (Well done Aston!). I particularly liked JB's velvet belted jacket which sooo reminds me of those nice smoker jackets..It’s all in that collar!!!

We've got the X Factor: JLS (L-R) Aston Merrygold, Oritse Williams, Marvin Humes and Jonathan 'JB' Gill won two awards

Skepta

I am very very sorry to say that I have no picture for it but I must mention Skepta's outfit. He was wearing a fabulous sequined Jeremy Scott x Adidas tracksuit. Very funky, very unique and very controversial according to Twitter! I'll search some more for a picture of him wearing it and keep you posted!

Rochelle Wiseman

In my opinion the stunner of the night, Rochelle wore a tight corset style dress which looked amazing on her. Very simple but very sexy!

It's a long way from London: The Saturdays singer Rochelle Wiseman (left) and former Mis-teeq bandmember Su-Elise Nash travelled up from the capital

There are so many other people I could mention in this post but I would be here all night! So I'm gonna leave you on a high note...here is the top lady Kanya King, wearing a beautiful sequined dress picked out by none other than the fashion guru herself, Jada Styles! Well done Jada!

Glamming up: (L-R) Former Atomic Kitten singer Natasha Hamilton, ex-EastEnders actress Preeya Kalidas and MOBOs founder Kanya King

Signing out!
